“We have this new nightlife scene,” says Amanda Davis, executive director of Visit Grove City. “We started off with the winery (Plum Run Winery) on one side of town center and a tap room (Hop Yard 62) on the other side. And those two things have sparked this incredible growth.”
On the horizon in the next five years is a plan to build about 800 residential units, office space and a park in Grove City’s Town Center.
New: Old World New Home, a boutique apparel and home goods shop, relocated to Town Center from the Short North this past summer. In October, a new library opened in Town Center. The 48,000-square-foot library features interactive areas, such as a video game space.
Coming soon: The owners of Plum Run Winery will soon open Grove City Brewing Co., a brewpub that will also serve house-made wine. Construction is almost complete, and March leasing is available for new apartments behind city hall. And Impero Coffee Roasters, currently on McDowell Road, is relocating to town center and changing its name to Transcend Coffee.
Don’t miss: Newly opened, The Honey House is a specialty shop dedicated to everything bee-related. Honey is bottled on-site, and visitors will find a variety of gift and hand-made items plus local art here.
